FOOD SAFETY OFFICER

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Be able to ensure that all incoming materials, final mixes, finished goods are in good quality and passed all quality parameters/specification in accordance with Philippine Food Safety Act and that all incoming/outgoing deliveries are sampled, checked, and logged properly.
• Ensures that all equipment used on testing/analysis is calibrated annually. Must coordinate with the Maintenance Coordinator.
• Maintain safe work environment and performs regular housekeeping of work area.
• Ensures that the commissary facilities, processes, and practices comply with HACCP, GMP and regulatory and food safety requirements. Will be working with the Commissary Manager most of the time.
• Must be able to ensure Correlative Action being implemented and address the Quality Issues and ensures no re-occurrence of the same quality issue.
• Conducts or organize training programs.

 

Requirements:

• Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in Food Tech, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related courses.
• Knowledgeable in various analytical wet chemistry test and instruments. Should have a strong problem solving, decision-making, and organization skills.
• Should have an ability to recognize patterns in the analyses being undertaken in the laboratory that will serve as a tool for proactive spotting of problems in quality.
• Proficient in various software programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• With good communication skills.
