HOTEL SUPERVISOR / MANAGER

Directly supervises all departments of the hotel and ensures proper completion of the staff’s duties.

Makes sure that the hotel provides guest's a stay pleasant and comfortable stay, while making sure that the hotel is profitable and efficient.  Creates budgets and set room rates, trains new staff, resolves employees’ conflicts, and help guests with any issues they might have.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a good working relationship with the hotel staff , motivates and communicates with them in solving problems
• Verifies and ensures that the rooms and hotel premises are in excellent conditions
• Handles guest relation concerns and resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
• Responsible for generating targeted maximum sales for the hotel and achieving overall sales objective
• Prepares revenue and occupancy forecasting
• Flexible with time, and must be able to report to solve necessary concerns
• Monitors all V.I.P guests and requests
• Reviews daily Front Office work and activities as well as guest’s payments.
• Ensures that all Front Desk staff are following our standard operating procedures and that they are giving excellent customer service
• Reviews Front Office log book and Incidental Reports on a daily basis
• Maintains an organized and comprehensive filing system with documentation of guest folios, schedules, forecasts and reports.
• Responsible in developing long-term relationship with guests and building a business relationship with corporate accounts

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Completed at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years Supervisory/Managerial experience
• Candidates with 3 years experience as Guest Service Agent/Officer are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent in listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Have strong Managerial Skills, Sales Oriented and has excellent leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task and can work under pressure
• Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English, Tagalog and Cebuano
• Must be a computer literate

Job Description:

• An apartment-style hotel, currently with 21 apartments, is planning to expand and add another 24 studio units to its portfolio and needs an experienced Hotel Property Manager to help with its development, construction and operation.
• During the construction phase, you will be responsible for liaising with the construction contractors and providing them with directives from management to ensure that the construction is in the make, specification and quality desired by the owners. You will also be responsible for site visits and monitoring the ongoing construction for any deficiencies or damage and making comprehensive reports for the review of the owners.
• In the role of hotel manager you would be responsible for the day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff. You would have commercial accountability for budgeting and financial management, planning, organizing and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, reservations), food and beverage operations, and housekeeping. You will also be responsible for marketing available units to clients and must have sales experience or skill. You must also be available at all times (on-call) 24-hours a day to answer calls relating to emergencies or urgent guest concerns that the on-site staff could not handle on their own after hours.
• While taking a strategic overview and planning ahead to maximize profits, the manager must also pay attention to the details, setting the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests' needs and expectations. Business and people management are equally important elements.
• You will also be required to perform Property Management tasks related to maintaining the surroundings and interiors of the property, the attraction, retention and signing on of new commercial tenants, the collection of overdue accounts, the notification of violations of tenants, among other things.

Responsibilities

• Planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
• Promoting and marketing the business;
• Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
• Maintaining statistical and financial records;
• Setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
• Analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
• Recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
• Planning work schedules for individuals and teams;
• Meeting and greeting customers;
• Dealing with customer complaints and comments;
• Addressing problems and troubleshooting;
• Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings;
• Dealing with contractors and suppliers;
• Ensuring security is effective;
• Carrying out inspections of property and services;
• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Salary

• Salary package: PHP 40,000.00
