  • The executive chef will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities;

  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards;
  • Plan and price menus; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen.
  • The executive chef may cook selected items or for select occasions.
  • The executive chef may oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques.
  • The executive chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases.
Requirements:
  • Hotel experience is an advantage
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in the same position
  • Knowledgeable in Profit and Loss Statement
  • Must have experience with control of food cost and labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu development, and pricing and development of culinary team preferred
  • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Willing to work in a shifting schedule
  • Willing to be assigned in Cebu City
