Department:

 

You will be part of the F&B team and will be directly reporting to the Kitchen Supervisor.

 

Job Description:

• A Line Cook with The Abaca Group is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. 
• He/she ensures that the food is prepared with love and attention to detail every single time while maintaining a sense of urgency. Food safety standards and the proper usage, cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen tools, equipment and facilities are high on his/her priorities.  And he/she must comfortably and successfully work with a team.
• He must take special attention to the monitoring, controlling and care of all the materials in his station and the rest of the kitchen.
• A Line Cook is required to conduct their duties in a professional, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with The Abaca Group policies and procedures.
• He/she must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the precise materials of the items in the menu and how to execute them properly and consistently.

• The Ideal candidate is: responsible, eager to perform and learn and has a healthy sense of urgency.  He/she is smart, proactive, communicates well, and demonstrates team spirit thru cooperation and adaptability.
• At least reached College level or above in a relevant discipline with appropriate professional qualifications and up to date professional knowledge.  Has 2+ years in a similar position, a high degree of emotional intelligence, remaining rational and calm under pressure with an open mind and is excited by cultural and professional diversity
