FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
 
To ensure that all Departments under his supervision are successful and as independent profit center as possible, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with our hotel standards, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling all aspects related to the revenues and operating expenses.
 
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/Degree in Hospitality/ Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience in related field is required for this position
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Years & Up experienced Employees specializing in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.
  • 1 full-time position available
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and discharge of staff in conjunction with the Rooms Division Manager
  • Develop Job Descriptions for each member of staff and keep them updated.
  • Monthly timetables for staff incorporating annual holidays.
  • Control payroll costs, ensuring sufficient coverage at any given time
  • Ensure the Department is properly equipped with stationery etc. and that costs are kept to a minimum.
  • Aim to maximize Room Occupancy at all times and ensure a clear understanding of the Property Forecast for the future.
  • Aim to reach the Quality Standards laid down by the hotel.
  • To attend and hold departmental staff and individual meetings.
  • Ensure Debtors Accounts are kept within the required amount of days.
  • Setting objectives and ensuring they are fulfilled.
  • Ensure service is always of the highest degree
  • Always be on the look out for new ideas and means of control
  • Ensure that Operating Equipment is always in perfect working condition
  • Handle any problems and guest complaints when necessary
  • Be constantly aware of the different rates and those of competitor hotels
  • Be aware of special promotions within the hotel
  • Ensure the close communication with other department in the hotel
  • Create an atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship among the staff
  • Administer to all employees, the company Policies and Procedures pertaining to hotel regulations and standards

Qualifications: Education & Experience:
  • At least 5 years progressive experience as Rooms Division Manager.
  • Graduate of 4-year college degree in any related-business course
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems.
Job Description:
  • Directed all operations and the management of team members within the guest services and housekeeping departments to include hiring, training, and scheduling of staff in addition to adhering to all ARTERRA HOTEL operating standards.
  • Monitored the cleanliness standards of areas serviced by the housekeeping department to include guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Served as hotel administrator for all property management system needs.
  • Implemented safety program and served as property safety leader.
  • Ensured a consistent practice of reservation operations allowing for maximization of all house space.
  • Trained personnel on low environmental impact cleaning policy.
  • Motivated, coached and developed a team of employees to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and labor productivity.
